Ranchi: Chutia police station in-charge of the district, Laxmikant, has been suspended by SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha. He is accused of indecent and disrespectful behavior with an applicant, Krishna Kumar Gupta, which has tarnished the image of the police department. The case was investigated by the City DSP, whose report was submitted to the SSP on August 14. This action was taken after the allegations were confirmed in the investigation. According to the order issued by the SSP, Laxmikant has been suspended with immediate effect. His headquarters during the period of suspension has been fixed as Police Center, Ranchi.
