The system is not right, coordination is needed: Radha Krishna Kishore

 

Ranchi: A workshop on Building Sustainable Jharkhand Global Goals Local Solution was organized in the capital Ranchi on Monday. New initiatives for sustainable development of Jharkhand were discussed in the workshop. Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari and many departmental officials participated in the workshop. Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari said that healthy competition is very important for development among all the districts. She said that Jharkhand's performance is not good compared to other states at the moment, but our efforts are continuing, we can achieve the goal. Mrs. Tiwari said that Jharkhand has done better work in the field of health.

     On the other hand, Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore raised questions on the concept of sustainable development. He said that the situation is not good in areas like water conservation, MNREGA and sand, so instead of sustainable development, there should be a debate on sustainable corruption free development. Development will be possible with the coordination of the executive and the legislature. SDG dashboard was launched during the workshop. This dashboard will help in tracking the sustainable development process in all the districts of the state. Expressing his feelings, he said that America saves its resources for the future and uses the resources of other countries. 

     What kind of concept of sustainable development is this. Sustainable development should mean sustainable development free from poverty and malnutrition, not sustainable development of exploitation, corruption and exploitation.
