CSR project Nanha Sa Dil launched: CCL
Ranchi: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh launched the ambitious project “Nanha Sa Dil”. During this, Director, Human Resources, Harshnath Mishra and many department heads of CCL were also present. While launching the project, CCL CMD Mr. N.K. Singh said that every child has the right to start life with a healthy heart, the CCL family is always committed to awareness and treatment of congenital heart disease and this project is a meaningful initiative in that direction.
The project was started with the screening of seven-month-old child Abhiraj Mahato and eight-year-old girl Bidiya Kumari of Ramgarh district, who were present in the program with their mother. Under this project, free screening and diagnosis of children will be done in every village through a well-equipped mobile van provided by CCL. Children who are confirmed to have CHD will be treated completely free of cost.
Apart from this, CCL will bear the cost of travel of the patient and his family to the hospital for checkup up to three times after treatment. It is known that CCL takes such initiatives from time to time under CSR, so that stakeholders, workers and villagers can get direct benefit. At the same time, CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh and Director Human Resources Harsh Nath Mishra performed Puja and flagged off the investigation van running from village to village under the “Nanha Sa Dil” project.
In collaboration with Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust (SSSHET), this ambitious CSR project of CCL has been started. The objective of this project is to provide free investigation, diagnosis and treatment of children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) in five districts of Jharkhand, Latehar, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Giridih and Palamu districts. It is known that earlier in the year 2024, CIL started this project in three districts - Chatra, Ranchi and Bokaro, where so far 300 successful surgeries have been done and screening of 65,000 children has been completed. Now, this project has been expanded to all eight operational districts of CCL.
The duration of this project is 2 years and the cost of the project is Rs 9.54 crore.
Target beneficiaries: 45,000 children will be screened in government schools, Anganwadi centers and government health centers. Minor cases will be treated by medicines. At the same time, 1,500 children will be shortlisted for ECHO and advanced tests. 500 children will be sent for CHD surgery to SSSHET's Raipur or other three trust hospitals.
