Ranchi, October 28, 2026: The Ranchi Police organised a Public Grievance Redressal Programme at various police stations and outposts across the district on Wednesday. Senior police officers, Deputy Superintendents of Police and concerned station in-charges met members of the public, heard their complaints and took prompt action to address their grievances.
According to a press release issued by Ranchi Police, a total of 236 complaints and applications were received, of which 184 were resolved on the same day. The remaining 42 cases are under investigation and further action is being taken. In sensitive cases involving land disputes, molestation, theft and assault, police registered a total of 10 FIRs at different police stations on the directions of the Senior Superintendent of Police and initiated investigations.
The programme was conducted across 46 police stations and outposts in Ranchi district, with the objective of ensuring the timely resolution of public grievances and strengthening coordination between the police and citizens. Ranchi Police stated that investigations into pending complaints are continuing and that necessary action will be taken in accordance with the law.
