Three Diaries Transformed into a Book
Addressing the gathering, author Dr. Rajshree Jayanti explained that she began recording her thoughts and experiences in diaries in 2016, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speeches, ideas and approach to governance. Over the years, three diaries filled with observations and reflections. She eventually decided to bring these ideas together in a book so that future generations could understand the thoughts and vision associated with India’s development and transformation. The author recalled that an opportunity to anchor a programme attended by the Prime Minister allowed her to experience his personality and commitment to the nation more closely. She said this experience inspired her to write the book. During the ceremony, she also presented a poem reflecting her literary journey. A message from senior journalist Balbir Dutt, who wrote the foreword to the book but could not attend the event because he was out of town, was read out.
