PIB Director General Dhirendra Ojha Hoists Tricolour at National Media Centre on 80th Independence Day
New Delhi, August 15, 2026: On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, Dhirendra Ojha, Director General of the Press Information Bureau (PIB), hoisted the National Flag at the National Media Centre in New Delhi.
Extending warm Independence Day greetings to the nation, Ojha highlighted the important role of the media in strengthening India’s unity, integrity and democratic values.
Senior officials and employees of the Press Information Bureau were present at the ceremony. The gathering reaffirmed its commitment to the nation, its freedom and democratic traditions.
