Lohardaga Ready for Independence Day Celebrations, Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey to Hoist National Flag
Lohardaga, August 14, 2026: The Lohardaga district administration has completed preparations for Independence Day 2026. Various programmes, including flag hoisting ceremonies and tributes to great national leaders, will be organised across the district on August 15.
From 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, floral tributes will be paid at the statues of prominent national leaders at different locations. Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar Meena and Superintendent of Police Sadik Anwar Rizvi will pay tribute at the statues of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Ajay Kumar Singh.
Deputy Development Commissioner Raj Maheshwaram will pay floral tributes at the statues of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Dr. Rajendra Prasad. ITDA Project Director Sushma Neelam Soreng will pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, while Additional Collector Jitendra Munda will pay tribute to Veer Budhu.
Main Ceremony at Baldev Sahu College Stadium
The main Independence Day ceremony of the district will be held at the Baldev Sahu College Stadium. Jharkhand Minister for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Shilpi Neha Tirkey will hoist the national flag at 9:05 AM.
In addition, the national flag will be hoisted at the Deputy Commissioner's residence at 7:45 AM, the Collectorate premises at 10:30 AM, the Sub-Divisional Office at 10:40 AM, and the Police Lines at 11:20 AM.
