Chief Minister Hemant Soren flags off 58 modern fire fighting vehicles, strengthening Jharkhand's fire service
Ranchi: In a bid to modernize and strengthen Jharkhand's firefighting and fire safety system, Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday inaugurated and flagged off 58 modern fire fighting vehicles equipped with "Mini Water Tender with Mist Technology" at a function held at the Central Training Institute, Home Guard Corps, Dhurwa. MLA Kalpana Soren was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that this is an important step towards modernizing, effectively, and quickly enhancing the state's fire disaster response system. He said that every moment is crucial in fire incidents, and timely action can save both lives and property. These modern and compact mini water tenders will prove extremely useful in narrow streets, densely populated urban areas, and remote rural areas.
The Chief Minister said that the need for a modern fire safety system has increased more than ever before. He stated that the government's goal is to equip the state's fire service with state-of-the-art technology to ensure prompt and effective response in case of any disaster. He stated that the use of mist technology will not only lead to faster control of fires but also better utilization of water.
He stated that fire services will now be able to reach areas previously inaccessible to larger fire brigade vehicles. These new vehicles will play a crucial role in controlling fires caused by gas cylinder explosions, short circuits, and other causes.
The Chief Minister praised the fire department officers and personnel, stating that their job is not only to extinguish fires but also to save the lives of those trapped in fires. He stated that this is a highly risky duty, which firefighters perform with utmost dedication and courage. The government is continuously striving to provide them with modern equipment and resources.
The Chief Minister stated that the addition of new fire fighting vehicles will further strengthen the safety of citizens and significantly enhance the state's disaster management capabilities. He appealed to all citizens to cooperate in building a safe, strong, and disaster-resilient Jharkhand.
Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Vandana Dadel, DG Fire Services MS Bhatia, DGP Tadasha Mishra and several senior police and administration officials were present at the programme.
