🚨 “Security Halted Mid-Journey: Babulal Marandi’s Convoy Gypsy Breaks Down Again; Questions Raised Over Government”
A Gypsy vehicle included in the convoy of Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi, who was returning to Ranchi from Hazaribagh, broke down once again while en route. This incident occurred near Itkhori Mor in Padma, where the vehicle remained stranded on the road for nearly an hour amidst heavy rainfall. After considerable effort, the vehicle was somehow repaired, allowing Marandi to finally proceed toward his destination.
This is not an isolated incident—previously, in January, a vehicle in his convoy had broken down near Tilaiya. Such recurring incidents are now raising serious questions regarding the adequacy of his security arrangements.
It is reported that several vehicles in Marandi’s convoy are 10–12 years old and have already clocked approximately 200,000 kilometers. Even his bulletproof vehicles have fallen into a dilapidated state. This situation is being viewed as hazardous for the Leader of the Opposition, who undertakes frequent tours across the state.
Marandi has raised this issue in the past as well. He had written to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, pointing out that while the government had procured 17 bulletproof vehicles for security purposes, only 3 or 4 of them were currently in use, while the rest remained idle. He had suggested that these vehicles either be utilized or allocated to officials to prevent them from falling into disrepair.
In light of the recurring vehicle breakdowns and apparent government apathy, questions are now being raised: Is this not tantamount to compromising the security of the former Chief Minister?/
