📰 Govt Pushes Panchayat Empowerment, Unveils Rural Development Roadmap at Awards Event


Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister attended the Chief Minister Panchayat Incentive Award Ceremony-cum-Mukhiya Conference 2026 (South Chotanagpur Division) held at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon. On the occasion, he felicitated selected Gram Panchayats, Gram Sabhas, Panchayat Samitis, and Zila Parishads from across the state with incentive funds for their outstanding performance.


During the event, a formal transfer of the signed Terms of Engagement with was also carried out. Through this MoU, Aadhaar-related services will now be made available at the Gram Panchayat level, ensuring easier access for rural residents.


Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized that the overall development of the state depends on the development of villages. He urged public representatives to work in close coordination with villagers and ensure effective implementation of government schemes.


Highlighting the summer season, he stressed the need for preparedness to tackle water scarcity by promoting pond cleaning, deepening, and the construction of soak pits near hand pumps to conserve groundwater.


He also encouraged farmers to install solar power plants on unused agricultural land to generate additional income and move towards self-reliance.


The Chief Minister reiterated that the government is committed to strengthening rural governance, ensuring transparency and accountability, and delivering the benefits of schemes to the last mile.

Several ministers, legislators, senior officials, and a large number of Panchayat representatives were present at the event.
