Ranchi: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ranchi will organize the National Lok Adalat on March 14, 2026 at the Civil Court, Ranchi. The event has been scheduled under the directions of JHALSA and under the guidance of Judicial Commissioner-cum-Chairperson Anil Kumar Mishra-1. Pre-sitting meetings for the Lok Adalat are being held regularly and will continue till March 13.
The DLSA Secretary said the main objective of the Lok Adalat is to dispose of the maximum number of pending cases through settlement. Posters and banners are being displayed to spread awareness, and PLVs working at block and panchayat levels have been instructed to motivate people for participation. Cases related to compoundable criminal matters, civil disputes, labour cases, matrimonial and family disputes, cheque bounce, electricity issues, traffic challans, forest department matters, land acquisition, motor vehicle cases and other settlement-friendly disputes will be taken up for disposal.
Under the Asha campaign, a legal awareness programme was also held at Mayapur Panchayat Bhawan in Khelari to prevent child marriage, where local representatives, PLVs and villagers participated.
