Ranchi: Under the "TB-Free India Campaign," a significant nutrition distribution program was organized on Saturday at Ranchi’s Sadar Hospital and RIMS. The initiative, supported by the RK HIV Research and Care Center, aimed to provide essential dietary support to patients currently undergoing treatment.
At Sadar Hospital, the event was led by Ranchi Civil Surgeon Dr. Prabhat Kumar and Deputy Development Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuwania. Together, they distributed nutritional kits to 250 patients. During the distribution, Dr. Prabhat Kumar emphasized the importance of a protein-rich diet alongside regular medication to ensure a speedy recovery. He encouraged patients to remain vigilant about their health and follow the prescribed medical guidelines strictly.
Simultaneously, at RIMS, Dr. Brijesh Mishra oversaw the distribution of kits to 50 TB patients. The event saw the presence of District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. S. Baskey, DPC Rakesh Kumar Rai, and District Program Manager Praveen Kumar Singh. Health visitors and staff, including Amresh Kumar Chaudhary, Santosh Kumar, and Deepak Kumar, were also present to support the cause. This initiative marks a crucial step toward achieving a TB-free Ranchi through community and nutritional support.
