Car driver and his companion arrested for molesting a girl

 

Pauri, Garhwal: Kotdwar Kotwali Police has arrested the car driver and his companion for molesting a girl. The victim had booked a car from Noida to Kotdwar. According to the police, a girl resident of Kotdwar gave a complaint. In which she told that on last Friday night, she had booked a car from Bala-Bala app to come to Kotdwar from Noida-Vijayanagar bypass. When the car reached Kotdwar, the driver and his companion took the car to their rented house Simbalchaud on the pretext of having food. There both of them misbehaved and molested the girl. After which she somehow escaped from there. Taking the matter seriously, the police registered a case against the accused under the relevant section. After investigation, the police team first raided the rented house of the accused but the accused had absconded by then.

With the help of CCTV cameras and surveillance, the police arrested both the accused from BL Road, Kotdwar. The police have recorded the statement of the victim in the case in the honourable court under section 183 BNSS. SSP Lokeshwar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Kapil Som resident of Keshav Kunj Govindpuram Ghaziabad, UP and Mohit Rana resident of Shankar Bihar Moradabad, Ghaziabad UP.
