Vat Savitri Vrat is a very important festival for married women in Indian culture, which is associated with the wish for long life of husband and happy married life. This fast is especially inspired by the mythological story of Savitri bringing back the life of her husband Satyavan from Yamraj. Vat Savitri Vrat has immense religious significance. It is believed that worshipping the Vat tree on this day brings blessings of the Tridev Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, which brings happiness, prosperity and good fortune in life.
