Ranchi, September 1, 2026: The first meeting of the Jharkhand State Allied and Healthcare Council was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Ajay Kumar Singh.
The meeting discussed regulation of allied and healthcare courses, affiliation of institutions and registration of students. The Council decided to conduct examinations for the transition batch and take necessary decisions on pending final examinations through the Cabinet.
A dedicated web portal and creation of essential posts were also approved. The Additional Chief Secretary suggested a six-month special training programme for Sahiyas, MPWs and other health workers.
The Council aims to establish a transparent, uniform and systematic regulatory framework for allied healthcare education and professional services in Jharkhand.
