Administration Prepared for Peaceful Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Risaldar Baba Urs
Ranchi, August 25, 2026: Members of the Urs Committee and Peace Committee met Ranchi District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri to discuss arrangements for the peaceful and successful celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi and the annual Risaldar Baba Urs.
During the meeting, the Urs Committee honoured Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri and IAS Probationer Astha Sharan by presenting them with traditional turbans.
The committee members requested the district administration to ensure adequate security, law and order, cleanliness, drinking water, traffic management and emergency services, along with other necessary arrangements during the celebrations.
Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri said the district administration is fully alert and prepared for the upcoming religious events. He stated that necessary preparations have been completed to maintain security and law and order during Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
He further informed that preparations are also underway for the annual Risaldar Baba Urs, scheduled from August 27 to 31, 2026, including security arrangements, cleanliness, emergency services, traffic management, VIP security and other essential facilities.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that the district administration would extend all possible support for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Urs. He also appealed to members of the Urs Committee and Peace Committee to maintain coordination and ensure compliance with the guidelines issued by the administration.
Urs Committee President Ayub Gaddi, General Secretary Javed Anwar, Joint Secretaries Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Sadiq Islam, member Asif Naeem, and Peace Committee members Jaisingh Yadav and Sagar Kumar were present at the meeting.
