📰 Ranchi Immersed in the Spirit of Shiva: A Massive Tide of Devotion Swells at the Inauguration of the Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha

Under the aegis of the Shri Shivala Seva Samiti, Ranchi, the grand inauguration of the Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha—organized at the football ground in Sukarhuttu—took place today amidst an atmosphere of deep reverence, devotion, and enthusiasm. On the very first day of the discourse, a historic crowd comprising hundreds of thousands of devotees gathered, causing the entire surroundings to reverberate with the resounding chants of "Har Har Mahadev."
Renowned spiritual orator Pandit Pradeep Mishra (of Sehore fame) illuminated the glory of Lord Shiva, the essence of *Dharma*, and core life values through his eloquent and simple discourses. Listening to the nectar-like words flowing from his lips, the devotees were overcome with emotion, and the entire venue became completely immersed in the devotion of Lord Shiva.
On the inaugural day of the event, the Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Gangwar, also visited the venue; he participated in the proceedings by offering prayers and worship to Lord Shiva. Commending the efforts of the organizing committee, he described the event as being of immense significance from both a social and spiritual perspective.
In view of the massive turnout of devotees, the administrative machinery also appeared fully mobilized. The Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Superintendent of Police (Rural), and Superintendent of Police (Traffic) of Ranchi jointly inspected the venue to review security, traffic management, and other logistical arrangements, subsequently issuing necessary directives to the concerned officials.
Comprehensive arrangements regarding seating, drinking water, security, and traffic management have been put in place at the venue to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience whatsoever.
Committee office-bearers announced that the Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha will be held daily from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and the event is scheduled to continue uninterrupted until May 11. They have appealed to as many devotees as possible to attend the discourse and partake in its spiritual benefits.
The grandeur of the first day and the colossal turnout of devotees have served as a clear indication that, in the days to come, this event will assume an even more monumental scale, and the city of Ranchi will continue to remain deeply immersed in the divine spirit of Lord Shiva.
