Swadeshi Mela-2026 Kicks Off in Ranchi; Chief Minister Emphasizes Need to Promote Local Products
Ranchi, May 01, 2026:
The three-day "MP Cultural Festival-cum-Swadeshi Mela-2026," organized at Audrey House, was inaugurated on Friday. Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Hemant Soren attended the event.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated that promoting indigenous products is essential. The State Government is actively encouraging local products through various initiatives. Citing the Swadeshi philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, he appealed to the public to embrace these principles.
He remarked that there is no dearth of talent in Jharkhand, and the youth of the state are excelling in diverse fields.
During the event, the Governor and the Chief Minister inspected the stalls set up at the fair and interacted with the artisans. The fair features displays of handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, as well as products crafted from clay and bamboo.
Several public representatives and members of the general public were present on this occasion.
