Major Reduction in IMA Life Membership Fees; Special Scheme Implemented for One Month
Ranchi/New Delhi: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has announced a special discount scheme, offering significant relief regarding its life membership fees. Under a joint decision by the IMA Headquarters in New Delhi and IMA Jharkhand, this scheme will remain in effect from April 1 to April 29, 2026.
Under this scheme, doctors will have the opportunity to become life members at a reduced fee. The IMA Headquarters has granted a 25% discount, while IMA Jharkhand has provided a 100% waiver on the state's share of the fee. Consequently, the membership fee for a single member has been reduced from ₹13,175 to ₹8,000; for a couple, from ₹19,745 to ₹12,000; and for a "half-couple" (single spouse), from ₹7,685 to ₹4,000.
Describing this as an unprecedented opportunity, the IMA has appealed to interested medical practitioners to apply by following the prescribed procedure.
