New Delhi: Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on September 12, 2026, during his first visit to India.
Welcoming President Pezeshkian to India, President Murmu thanked Iran for its support during India’s BRICS chairship.
The two leaders discussed the long-standing friendly relations between India and Iran, including their close cultural ties and strong people-to-people connections.
President Murmu reiterated India’s commitment to efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region. She also called for resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy.
