Jharkhand Tribal Festival 2026 inaugurated with grand ceremony, Governor and Chief Minister inaugurated
Ranchi, August 9: The two-day Jharkhand Tribal Festival 2026, held at the historic Morabadi Grounds, was inaugurated with grand ceremony. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren attended the inaugural ceremony. On this occasion, the Governor, Chief Minister, and other dignitaries inaugurated the exhibition camp, documentary film festival, immersive zone, and painting camp.
During the festival, the resonant sound of traditional musical instruments, nagada formations, folk dances, and traditional costumes brought Jharkhand's rich cultural heritage to life. Various activities, including tribal arts and crafts, handicrafts, traditional food, tribal lifestyle, folk music, and dance, were a major draw for the public.
Preserving the identity and culture of the tribal community is essential
Chief Minister Hemant Soren, while congratulating the World Tribal Day, said that the tribal community has its own distinct identity on earth. The Tribal Festival is being organized with the aim of preserving this identity, culture, tradition, and lifestyle.
He said that the Morabadi grounds showcase the diversity and cultural diversity of tribal communities from various parts of the state and the country. The participation of artists, artisans, and people from various fields has given the festival a comprehensive dimension.
The problems of the youth will be resolved through dialogue
Regarding the issues of the state's youth and students, the Chief Minister said that the government is taking their problems seriously. He stated that every problem can be resolved through dialogue.
He said that if any irregularities are found, they will be investigated and the youth will get justice. Strict action will be taken against those responsible for the irregularities. The Chief Minister appealed to the youth not to be misled and to present their views to the government clearly and fearlessly.
He said that the government will not limit itself to listening to the youth through protests and demonstrations, but will also strive to reach out to those concerned about their problems at home.
Confidence in justice with transparency
The Chief Minister said that the Constitution grants equal rights to every citizen of the country. Rich or poor, everyone has equal rights. He stressed the need to eliminate social and economic inequalities and provide equal opportunities to all sections of society.
Assuring the youth and students that they will receive justice with complete transparency and that justice will be seen to be done.
Jharkhand, the Land of Heroes
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is not just a state, but a land of heroes. Its brave ancestors have long struggled for rights, identity, and freedom. Water, forests, and land are not just resources for the tribal community, but are linked to their culture, identity, and existence.
He said that society, and especially the youth, need to be vigilant against attempts to halt the state's progress or mislead the people. In a democratic system, problems can only be resolved through dialogue.

The Chief Minister said that the Tribal Festival is not just an event, but an opportunity to remember the glorious heritage, struggle, and identity. He expressed hope that this festival will be memorable and inspiring and the tribal society will move forward with pride and self-confidence.
Expressing gratitude to the people present at the festival, he thanked everyone for their cooperation and participation.
